Course Overview
The 4th Annual Jean Sindab Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Symposium is designed to provide an update on the most current advances in triple-negative breast cancer. Jean Sindab, PhD, was a Yale educated, African American scholar and activist who died at 51 from breast cancer. Dr Sindab's memory is honored at Winship Cancer Institute through the Jean Sindab Endowment, which provides key funding for research in triple-negative breast cancer.

Educational Objectives

1. Discuss laboratory-based research conducted in the last two years on triple negative cancer
2.
Review results of clinical trials conducted over the past 24 months, which evaluated novel agents in triple negative breast cancer
3.
Review specific treatment options in triple negative cancer
4.
Discuss role of stem cells in breast cancer pathogenesis
5.
Review pathologic features of triple negative breast cancer subtypes
6.
Discuss DNA repair pathways in hormone refractory breast cancer

 

 

Target Audience
This live activity is designed for medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other healthcare providers involved with or interested in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of breast cancer.
