Fashion a Cure event raises funds for Winship research in women’s cancers
The 2024Friends of Winship Fashion a Cure Fashion Showon April 30 raised $370,000 to support research at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University in cancers that affect women and their care. The event once again featured fashions from local boutiques and designers. Models included cancer survivors, caregivers, physicians, researchers and volunteers.
Nearly 500 guests attended the event, which was held at the Piedmont Driving Club in Atlanta, and included a live auction and a luncheon.
“We are grateful to the Friends of Winship, our community partners and our team members who made this such a successful event,” saysSuresh Ramalingam, MD, executive director of Winship. “The funds raised will directly support impactful cancer research at Winship, leading to innovative discoveries that inspire hope.”
Lynne Rankin, Jennifer Raulet and Ashley Whitehurst co-chaired the event.
During the program, the chairs shared their personal connection to cancer, adding, “We are so honored to support the research that gives hope to those facing cancer.”
The Fashion a Cure Fashion Show has raised nearly $3 million since 2013.
