Background
Dr. Buchwald's primary clinical focus is radiation and immunotherapy for cutaneous malignancies.
Dr. Buchwald completed his PhD in Immunology and his MD in Medicine at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia serving as co-chief resident in his final year. During residency, Dr. Buchwald completed a prestigious research fellowship, the Holman Pathway.
Dr. Buchwald is actively involved in both basic and clinical research. In his laboratory, he studies ways to enhance the immune response against melanoma and other cancers using radiation.
