A board-certified medical oncologist, Shipra Gandhi, MD, MS, treats patients with breast cancer at Winship Cancer Institute's Clifton campus. As a physician-scientist, her research interest is in studying immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment and developing strategies to overcome it in triple-negative breast cancer, an aggressive type of breast cancer.
Dr. Gandhi is an associate professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. Before joining Emory, she was on faculty and an attending physician at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, New York.
Dr. Gandhi received her medical degree from Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, India. She completed her internal medicine residency at The State University of New York (SUNY), followed by her fellowship in hematology and oncology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, New York. She also earned a Master of Science from The State University of New York (SUNY)
