Michal Horný, PhD, MSc, is an assistant professor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Horný is also an assistant professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Emory University Rollins School of Public Health.
Dr. Horný is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute.
Education
Dr. Horný received his Master of Science in Stochastics and Financial Mathematics from VU University Amsterdam. He then received his PhD in Health Services Research from Boston University.

Research
Dr. Horný is interested in cancer health care disparities due to health policy, the cost of care and health insurance benefit design. He is also interested in the assessment of the value of care with a particular focus on cancer screening and diagnostic imaging.
