David L. Jaye, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Jaye is an attending physician on the hematopathology service for Emory Healthcare and a consultant at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Grady Memorial Hospital. A board certified pathologist, he began practicing with Emory Healthcare in 2002.
Dr. Jaye is a member of the Cancer Immunology Research Program with an extensive research background.
Dr. Jaye earned his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine. He then completed a residency in anatomic pathology at Washington University School of Medicine and clinical pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. Dr. Jaye conducted his fellowship in hematopathology at the Emory University School of Medicine in 1998.
Dr. Jaye's research efforts encompass projects broadly related to biology, laboratory diagnosis and treatment of hematolymphoid disorders. Ongoing research endeavors include studies of B-lineage neoplasms (lymphoma, multiple myeloma) including clinico-pathologic correlations, and machine-learning approaches to analysis of digital pathology slide images.
Dr. Jaye has been named an Avon Breast Cancer Crusade Scholar and received the CAP Foundation Scholars Award. He has also been the recipient of grant support from the National Institutes of Health.
