Research
Dr. Junqueira Alves’s research focuses on the mechanobiology of neural and glioma stem cells, uncovering how cytoskeletal forces and mechano-electrical regulation influence cell migration and invasion. His work leverages stem cell models, cerebral organoids and advanced imaging to investigate brain tumor biology and neurodegeneration with the goal of developing novel therapeutic strategies for glioblastoma and related disorders.
