Amita Manatunga, PhD, is the Donna J. Brogan Professor in Biostatistics at Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University. Dr. Manatunga first joined the Emory University faculty in 1994. She works as the primary biostatistician at the NIH-funded Emory University General Clinical Research Center.
Dr. Manatunga is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
Education
Dr. Manatunga obtained her PhD in Statistics and her MA also in Statistics from the Univeristy of Rochester in New York. She also received MSc in Statistics from Purdue University in Indiana.

Dr. Manatunga is a fellow of the American Statistical Association and a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. She has served on several committees of the ENAR, International Biometrics Society and over the years, she has also served on numerous NIH Study Sections.
Research
Dr. Manatunga's current research areas include analytical methods for environmental and reproductive health, multivariate survival analysis and predictive statistical models in renal imaging.
