Meredith C. Mason, MD, is an assistant professor in the Division of Surgical Oncology of the Department of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine. A board-certified surgical oncologist, Dr. Mason treats tumors of the liver, biliary tract, pancreas and gastrointestinal tract, and neuroendocrine tumors and sarcoma. She is an attending at Grady Memorial Hospital and Atlanta VA Medical Center.
Dr. Mason is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
Education
Dr. Mason received her medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. During her general surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine, she did a fellowship in clinical and health services research at the Houston Health Services Research and Development Center for Innovations in Quality, Effectiveness and Safety (IQUEST) at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. She completed her clinical fellowship in complex general surgical oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
