-Linda Zimmerman, Current Winship Volunteer since 2003
“Volunteering has been a way to return all of the love and support that I received from Winship as a patient and a survivor.”
-Jason Cohen, Current Winship Volunteer since 2010
“I just like to help out wherever I can and to hopefully brighten up someone’s day. It’s a joy to be able to share music with the patients, caregivers and staff because I can share part of myself without having to say a word.”
-Richard Siegmann, Current Winship Volunteer since 2008
“I'm a chemo patient at Winship at Emory Midtown on Thursdays. I want you to know what a delightful person Rachel is. She perks us up when she walks around seeing what we need. When I see her I light up and she even spends a little time with us. We know she is very busy but she finds that time to put a smile on our faces. Thank you for having a angel like Rachel”
-L.R. Midtown Patient
“Volunteers play an integral role here by supporting and extending the efforts of our faculty and staff. All of us at Winship salute and appreciate your dedication and steadfast courage. We couldn’t do our jobs if you didn’t do yours so reliably.”
-Dr. Brian Leyland-Jones,
“Volunteers are a vital asset to Winship. Not only for giving of their time, but that some are able to bring the patient perspective with them”.
-William Gesner, Jr., Administrative Assistant, Medical Oncology & Social Services
“Thank you for all of the wonderful volunteers that have been sent to our department. They are cheerful, work hard and very quick to catch on. This is a wonderful program and I hope it opens the doors for other departments that need help!“
-Suzan Rhodes, Sr, Medical Secretary
