College Student Volunteers

Winship provides college student volunteers with the opportunity to acquire hands-on experience that makes a difference in the lives of our patients, families, visitors, and staff everyday.

At Winship, there are a variety of opportunities for college student volunteers that fuel a genuine desire to serve others and explore the careers available in health care. Become a volunteer and give back while learning more!

Our college student volunteer programs consist of a dedicated and diverse group of volunteers, including undergraduates, post-baccalaureates, and graduate students. Their shared passion lies in improving patient care as integral members of the Winship team. Engaging directly with patients, their families, and our staff, college volunteers offer crucial support across various departments. The program is available year-round, with options during both the academic year and summer semester.

Applicants must meet specific criteria: they should be 18 years or older, currently enrolled in college, and able to provide evidence of updated vaccinations, including the flu vaccine. Additionally, a TB test may be required, depending on individual circumstances.
