Peer Partners offer confidential, one-to-one support based on their previous personal cancer experience. The program provides:
- Peers Partners who complete a training program and are supervised through Winship Social Services.
- Availability to all patients and caregivers regardless of where they receive treatment.
- Flexible locations and a schedule determined by the Peer Partner and patient.
- Communication between the Peer Partner and the patient by phone or in person.
