Peer Partners

The Peer Partners Program matches cancer survivors and caregivers with cancer patients and caregivers dealing with a similar diagnosis of cancer.

The Winship Peer Partners Program is one of our many cancer survivorship programs. The Peer Partners Program matches cancer survivors and caregivers with cancer patients and caregivers dealing with a similar diagnosis of cancer, pre-cancerous condition, or benign tumor.

Peer Partners offer confidential, one-to-one support based on their previous personal cancer experience. The program provides:

  • Peers Partners who complete a training program and are supervised through Winship Social Services.
  • Availability to all patients and caregivers regardless of where they receive treatment.
  • Flexible locations and a schedule determined by the Peer Partner and patient.
  • Communication between the Peer Partner and the patient by phone or in person.
