A collaboration between Winship, University Hospitals in Cleveland and the Tata Memorial Centre in Mumbai harnesses the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to measure patient risk and determine the benefit of therapy for patients with cancer in Indian populations.
Winship member Sumin Kang, PhD, has received a two-year R21 grant from the National Cancer Institute to advance new research aimed at overcoming treatment-resistant non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC). The study will investigate the mechanisms that drive resistance to pemetrexed-based chemotherapy and validate the therapeutic efficacy of targeting FGFR3 signaling and pemetrexed as a novel combination therapy for pemetrexed-resistant NSCLC.
