Winship nurses present abstracts, receive award during ONS Congress
Winship oncology nursing leaders, nurses and staff gathered at the 2025 ONS Congress in Denver, April 9-13.
Nurse clinicians and researchers from Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University presented their latest findings at the 50th Annual Congress of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) in Denver, April 9-13. More than 4,000 oncology nurses attended this year’s professional development conference to learn about advances in cancer care, enhance their skills and exchange knowledge.
With more than 35,000 members, the Oncology Nursing Society is dedicated to promoting excellence in oncology nursing and to the transformation of cancer care through its advocacy, educational programming and scholarship.
During a special ceremony hosted by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC), Winship was honored with ONCC's 2025 Employer Recognition Award for demonstrating sustained support for national board certification of oncology nurses. Winship nursing has increased its board certification rate in recent years, a testament to Winship’s dedicated nursing teams and their commitment to professional development and exceptional cancer care.
