Overview
The goal of the Winship Data and Technology Applications Shared Resource is to provide comprehensive and cutting edge informatics support to multidisciplinary Winship investigators.
We work in collaboration with the Winship Cancer Institute research programs, other Winship shared resources, the Department of Biomedical Informatics and Emory University School of Medicine core facilities. Our core's multi-pronged approach to addressing the data management needs of investigators is critical for the scientific mission of Winship Cancer Institute.
Services Available
Core services include:
- Database design, development and management
- Data abstraction/collection
- Matching existing clinical and biological information resources to research needs
- Designing case report forms
- Clinical annotation for disease specific biospecimen banks
- Systematic reviews and meta analysis (search strategies, data extraction, literature review, analysis)
- Cohort discovery
- Access to National Cancer Database files for solid and hematologic malignancies
- Support for grants/manuscripts/meeting abstracts
- Support for training programs
In addition, we provide access to National Cancer Database files for solid and hematologic malignancies. This service is available to Winship members for research purposes and is provided in collaboration with the Biostatistics Shared Resource, and Bioinformatics and Systems Biology Shared Resource.
